Club Information - Local Training Rides

Many of our members participate in our training rides to simply better their cycling or overall fitness. Designated training rides vary throughout the year and include a mixture of road and mountain bike rides ranging from "easy" to "challenging." I have included links to maps of where most the rides start. If you would like to post a training ride here, email the Webmaster.

Use this Ride Classification Chart to tell you the potential distance of the ride, the average speed of the ride and the potential terrain to be covered.

Tulsa Wheelmen Criterium Training Series
Takes place at the Tulsa Safety Training Center. We call it a "practice" race but it's as intense and fun as any race you'll travel to. Full range of rider level opportunities from absolute beginner to Cipollini wannabes. This is where you learn to race criteriums so come out!

Wednesday Night Ride
Starts at Jackson Park. A big ride, usually in concert with the TBC and works as a great recovery ride to circulate with those who just shake their heads at you the rest of the time. (Not sponsored by TW)
